The European Poker Tour has returned to Prague for its fifth time and today sees the start of the €5,300 main event at the Golden Prague Poker Room in the Hilton Prague Hotel.
A champion will be crowned on Dec. 10 but in the meantime players sit down to 30,000 in chips for both starting days with 60-minute levels on day 1, and 75 minutes thereafter.
Arnaud Mattern broke the ice in the Czech Republic in season four when he became the first EPT Prague champion. The latest to celebrate a Prague victory was Roberto Romanello when he slayed his way through a total field of 563 to take down the top prize of €640,000 last year. He takes his seat this year wearing the same lucky hat he won with in season seven.
