Online Poker Sites Move Into Sports Betting

Red Star Poker, an eastern European facing online poker site on the Cake Poker network, has launched an online sportsbook.

RedStarSports.eu is powered by Sports Betting Tec and chief executive officer Itai Zak said, "Red Star is a leading and well-known established poker brand for the Eastern European markets and we are delighted to have them as one of our clients.

“This deal recognises the strength of our product and also our ability to provide a fully managed turnkey solution for online gaming operators looking to expand their offering into sports betting.”

Sports Betting tech will also launch Mermaid Poker’s new online sports betting site, Mermaid Bet, in January 2012.
