Publicly-quote online gaming operator bwin.party is set to seek legal entry into the Belgian gaming market by applying for both land and online gaming licenses.
The company, which operates PartyPoker.com and recently launched online poker in the newly regulated Danish market, hopes to be included in the list of licensees in March.
Analyst Daniel Stewart & Co commented, “Though we do not envisage Belgium as a particularly large e-gaming market in our view it enhances BPTY [bwin.party] brand awareness in mainland Europe and further adds to revenues derived from regulated markets.
”We believe BPTY is well positioned as a B2C operator and a B2B provider to take advantage of regulating markets. The business has the necessary firepower to execute and rollout its expansion strategy.”
