Nevada online poker applicant Shuffle Master will purchase the Ongame Network from bwin.party digital entertainment, The Sunday Times reported last week from the U.K.
In December, bwin.party issued a trading update indicating the sale of the online poker network was at an “advanced stage.”
The company said at the time: “As one of the world’s leading online poker networks with a state-of-the-art technology platform, the sale of Ongame’s B2B business has attracted a number of interested parties.”
Shuffle Master is a global supplier of products such as automatic card shufflers, slot machines and “wireless gaming solutions,” according to its website. The company provided mechanized shufflers for World Series of Poker final tables in 2011.
Shuffle Master has applied to be a service provider in Nevada. Service providers will be in charge of maintaining and running the online poker software on behalf of a casino operator.
