WSOP main event champion Peter EastgateBetfair Poker has announced two new signings; Peter Eastgate and Stefan Raffay.

The two great Danes will promote the online poker site and highlight its exclusive Danish WSOP promotion which sees hopefuls battle to win the chance to live the high life and join Raffay and Eastgate in the same house for this year’s WSOP.

Eastgate burst onto the poker scene in 2008 when he took down the WSOP main event for a massive payday of $9,152,416. Not only that, he was the youngest to achieve every player’s dream.

In 2010 Eastgate abruptly took a break from the poker scene saying, “In the 20 months following my WSOP win, I feel that I have lost my motivation for playing high-level poker along the way, and I have decided that now is the time to find out what I want to do with the rest of my life.”

During this time Eastgate hit headlines when he auctioned off his main event bracelet on eBay for $147,500, in order to help children via the charity UNICEF. In February of last year Eastgate returned to poker.

Eastgate and Raffay now join John Tabatabai and Hans Vogl on the Betfair Poker team. Peter Weinreich, Betfair Danish country manager, said, ”We hope their expertise and popularity in the poker community will ensure a positive relationship for both parties”.
