32Red Plc, the online casino operator, saw its online poker revenue increase 15 percent to £1.06 million in 2011, up from £920,000 in 2010.

This compares to a fall in poker revenue of five percent in 2010.

The company’s gross profit before marketing costs was £623,639, up from £396,162 the previous year.

Active players also grew 15 percent to 13,607 in 2011 from 11,871 a year earlier.

The company said in its preliminary results statement, “We look forward to launching into the Italian market although, generally, the poker market remains very competitive. However, we remain focused on and active in this area in order to ensure that we are able to grasp any upcoming regulatory opportunities both in Europe and further afield.”
