This Week In Tournament Poker -- Mar. 19th - 26th

In this Card Player feature we are looking to provide our readers with a guide to some of the biggest poker events taking place in their area for the upcoming week. CALIFORNIA

• The 2012 WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Rincon (Mar 15, ‘12 – Mar 26, ’12) The WSOP Circuit made its way to Harrah’s Rincon Casino & Resort in Valley Center, CA a few days ago, and the action continues this week with a number of notable events including a $1,080 no-limit hold’em event that begins on March 23rd and the marquee $1,600 no-limit hold’em main event that begins on the 24th and will run three days.

• The 2012 Winnin’ o’ the Green (Mar 02, ‘12 – Apr 05, ’12) The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens’ Winnin’ o’ the Green series continues, with a total 22 events scheduled. This week will feature a number of unique events, including a $125 “quantum reload” no-limit hold’em event.

NEVADA

• The 2012 Hoops & Hold’em Spring Classic (Mar 14, ‘12 – Apr 02, ’12) March Madness is in full swing, and Las Vegas poker rooms are looking to provide some tournament action for players in town while they sweat their brackets. Caears Palace Las Vegas is hosting a 40-event Hoops & Hold’em Spring Classic that kicked off on March 14th. Highlights from this weeks offerings include a $350 no-limit hold’em event that begins on the 25th.

• The 2012 All In Poker Series (Mar 15, ‘12 – Mar 25, ’12) The Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, NV is into the second week of its 20-event All In Poker Series, with the highlight of the week of course being the $1,060 no-limit hold’em main eventthat will start and on the 24th and crown a champion the following day.

• The 2012 March Mania Mega Stack Poker Tournament (Mar 15, ‘12 – Mar 25, ’12)
  The new Tropicana poker room has its own 22-event March Madness-themed series that began on the 15th. This week’s offerings include a $440 no-limit hold’em event thats starts on the 22nd and the $1,500 no-limit hold’em main event that kicks off on the 23rd.

FLORIDA

• The 2012 Battles at the Beach (Mar 01, ‘12 – Mar 26, ’12) — The Isle Casino in Pompano Beach’s Battles at the Beach continues, with some big events taking place this week, including a big $2,200 six-max no-limit hold’em event that starts on the 19th and the $3,300 no-limit hold’em main event that begins with the first of two starting days on the 23rd and continues until a champion is crowned on the 26th.

MIDWEST

• The 2012 Tri-State Poker Championship (Mar 15, ‘12 – Mar 25, ’12) The Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, IN into the second half of its 14-event series. Like many others around the country, this series will also be playing host to it’s main event this week. The $1,600 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament is set to kick off on the 24th and play to a winner on the following day.

SOUTH

• The 2012 Delta Gold Poker Classic (Mar 23, ‘12 – Apr 02, ’12) The Gold Strike Hotel Casino in Robinsonville, MS is set to host this 19-event series which kicks off on the 23rd, with the this week’s highlights including a $230 pot-limit Omaha eight-or-better event that starts on the 23rd and a $340 no-limit hold’em event that begins on the 24th.
