Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Wins Estrellas Poker Tour Valencia

Miguel Ángel Rodríguez is the champion of the Estrellas Poker Tour Valencia after topping a field of 387 players from 36 different countries for a payday of €76,000 from a total prize pool of €371,520.

The final was fast-paced and intense as Rodriguez took on his opponents and retained control over his destiny. His journey to the final table had been anything from smooth, going from chip leader at the end of day 2 to close to elimination on day 3. He fought his way back however, and was determined to not let it happen again.

The final three took 10 minutes to negotiate a deal, and decided that Jaume Niell would get €50,100 while Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and Rubén González would get €58,000 apiece, with €18,000 held over for the winner.

Soon it would just be Rodriguez and Gonzales, and with Rodriguez holding most of the chips it wouldn’t be long until he sent his final opponent to the rail. In the final hand Rodriguez raised to 93,000 and Gonzales moved all in. It was bad timing as Rodriguez quickly made the call and flipped over K K while Gonzales revealed Q 8. The board came down A Q 6 5 J and Miguel Ángel Rodríguez was crowned the first ever champion of Valencia on the Estrellas Poker Tour.
