A new gambling story penned by the men who wrote Rounders is set to be filmed, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Screenwriters Brian Koppelman and David Levien will reportedly tackle the world of online gambling. The industry grabbed real-life headlines about a year ago when the three largest poker sites were shut down by the U.S. government.
Production for Runner, Runner is scheduled to begin this summer in Puerto Rico.
The film will star Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake and will be directed by Brad Furman who last gave us the The Lincoln Lawyer.
This news could spell trouble for a potential Rounders sequel.
