2011 Champ Taylor von Kriegenbergh The World Poker Tour returns for the second year to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown $10,000 main event will begin Wednesday, April 18th, and will continue until a champion is crowned on the 23rd.

The event made quite a splash when it premiered on the WPT last year, drawing 433 players and building a $4,156,800 prize pool. Taylor von Kriegenbergh was the last man standing, earning 2,400 Card Player Player of the Year points, his first WPT title and $1,122,340. This was the third largest first-prize of the WPT’s ninth season, behind only the L.A. Poker Classic main event ($1,654,120) and the $25,000 WPT Championship ($1,618,344).

Other notable finishers at last years final table include runner-up Curt Kohlberg ($586,109), fifth-place finisher Allen Bari ($211,997) and sixth-place finisher Tommy Vedes ($166,272).
