King of High Roller events, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier has added another title to his collection.
The peroxide-haired Frenchman topped yet another tough field (of 57 with nine rebuys), this time at the European Poker Tour Berlin, to take down the €10,300 High Roller for €231,000. In doing so he earns 300 Card Player Player Of The Year Points which brings his total for the year to 660.
While the main event reached a conclusion, there was an epic battle between ElkY and online phenom Chris Moorman taking place. Moorman was on the hunt for the title but couldn’t quite pip ElkY to it heads up. The Brit walked away with €145,200 for second place.
