Last week, the Nevada Gaming Control Board granted approval for licensed sports books to accept wagers on nearly all events at the 2012 World Series of Poker.
Wagering will only be upon those playing on the final day of each event. Acceptance of wagers will cease five minutes prior to the start of play and won’t be reinstated at any time during the course of play.
Last fall, Nevada sports books were taking wagers on the final table of the WSOP Main Event, which was won by German Pius Heinz.
In October, gaming regulators, at the request of Caesars Entertainment, approved wagering on just the November Nine, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
