Welshman Richard Evans has won the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour Dublin taking down €75,500 for being the last man standing from 597 entrants at Citywest Hotel in the Irish capital.
The 46-year-old qualified for just €44 and now plans to do up his house and ‘”live mortgage free”.
Evans was part of a three-way deal in the €700 + €70 buy in main event that saw the €100,000 top prize reduced and the second and third place players Stephen McGrath and Seamus Birt take €60,000 each.
The final table payouts were:
