Antonino Venneri from Italy has ensured the latest PokerStars Italian Poker Tour title stayed on home soil after he beat a topped a field of 244 player in Campione.
Venerri took down €130,000 for his victory in the €2,000 + €200 buy in main event.
He beat fellow countryman Ivan Losi head up. The final hand saw Vanneri move all in with A 2 and losi made the call with 9 9.
However an ace on the flop sealed Losi’s fate and he walked away with a healthy €100,000 consolation.
The Italian Poker Tour’s next stop is San Remo from July 26 to 30, 2012.
