Tero Kalliomäki Crowned King Of Bulgaria At Third European Masters Of Poker Stop

Finland ruled once again at the European Masters of Poker, this time at the Crystal Crown Casino in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria when Tero Kalliomäki topped a field of 214 to take home €38,200.

Depite the final being heavily laden down with locals, it was two Finns who made it to the heads up.

Kalliomäki walked away with the goods in the end when he moved all in with pocket tens and was called by Jarkko Pennonen with KHeart Suit 9Heart Suit. The board came down 7Spade Suit 6Club Suit 2Spade Suit AHeart Suit 2Diamond Suit and Pennonen had to make do with the second-place prize of €22,900 from a total prize pool of €145,320.

The main event buy-in had been decreased by 30 percent from €1,000 + €100 to €700 + €70, while the starting stack had been bumped up 30 percent to 26,000.

The EMOP will move on to the Gran Casino Barcelona in Spain in September for its fourth stop. Players will soon be able to qualify for this main event for cheap on all poker sites on the IGT Poker network.

Daily satellites will feed into main weekly qualifiers, which kick off at 8.40 p.m. (CET) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Tuesday and Thursday see a buy-in of €75 with three €2,000 packages on offer, and on Sundays there is a €150 buy-in satellite featuring four €2,000 packages.
