All In Sports, a United Kingdom network formerly known as the Poker Channel, is currently filming its version of a high-stakes poker event. The Fifty Casino in London is hosting the Million Dollar Cash Game, which will hit British airwaves and Sky Sports in January of 2007 and air on All In Sports the following May.

With the instant popularity of GSN's High Stakes Poker series, it was only a matter of time before those across the pond adopted the concept. "With millions of dollars being staked, this is the first high-stakes cash game to be produced and televised in Europe," said All In Sports head of programming James Hopkins.

The Million Dollar Cash Game will feature professional poker players in Europe's biggest-ever recorded cash event, with a minimum $100,000 buy-in.

The Million Dollar Cash Game shouldn't suffer from a lack of poker celebrities, as the televised affair coincides with several other locally based tournaments, such as the Broadway main event in Birmingham, the EPM in London, the latest game on the Grosvenor circuit, and the forum event in Walsall.

The list of unconfirmed participants includes Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, Erik Seidel, Jennifer Harman, John Juanda, Mike Matusow, Erick Lindgren, Chris Ferguson, Marc Goodwin, and Tony Guoga. Howard Lederer, also a participant, is a consultant to the show.

Said Hopkins, "This is a hugely exciting event featuring the biggest names in world poker and guaranteed thrilling viewing… promising something new for poker fans."
