Parx Casino, in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, has announced a multi-year partnership deal with Matt Glantz as the ambassador of Parx poker.
Glantz, a Card Player blogger and columnist, has an extensive list of poker accomplishments. He won the 2009 EPT London High Roller, twice final tabled the $50,000 buy-in event at the WSOP, and has been a fixture for years in some of the biggest cash games in the world. His earnings from tournaments alone stand at $4.1 million
Since its debut in November 2010, the Parx poker room has become a hotbed of major poker action in the Northeast region, according to a press release. Parx boasts a 50-table room, high-stakes tournaments, celebrity guests and prime amenities. In addition, the Season 11 kick-off and first WPT televised main event in Pennsylvania will be held at Parx in August.
The relationship with Glantz is a strategic move. “Matt is a highly respected and skilled player in the poker world. His professional profile lends integrity to our flourishing poker brand,” CEO Tony Ricci said in the press release. In addition to being the face of Parx poker, Glantz will be engaged in the planning and design of the poker room expansion plan currently underway.
“I am very proud to have reached this milestone in my poker career and honored to be partnering with Parx Casino,” Glantz said in the press release. “It will be my mission to support Parx in becoming the premiere poker room on the east coast. They have proven their commitment toward this goal since opening day, and I look forward to doing my part to make this vision a reality.”
