Many Notables Remain In Bellagio Cup Main Event

Winner To Take Home $408,444

The $10,000 Bellagio Cup VIII main event kicked off on Friday, drawing 126 entrants and creating a total prize pool of $1,222,200.

The winner will take home $408,444 and a seat into the $25,000 World Poker Tour Championship in 2013.

After two days of play, there are currently 45 players still remaining, 18 of which will make the money.

Notables still in contention include Steve O’Dwyer, Zachary Clark, Bryn Kenney, Jonathan Aguiar, Olivier Busquet, Sam Stein, William Thorson, Dwyte Pilgrim, Christian Harder, Lee Markholt, David Williams, Elio Fox, Nick Grippo, Aaron Been, Philipp Gruissem, Andrey Pateychuk, David Sands, Igor Kurganov and Card Player’s own Barry Shulman.

The Bellagio Cup series included eight preliminary events raning in buy-ins from $500 to $5,000. Notable winners included Matt Moore and Rene Angelil.
