World Series of Poker National Championship Moved To New OrleansWSOP Circuit Adds Four New Stops |

This year’s World Series of Poker National Championship took place during the WSOP main event. That won’t happen in 2012, because the event has been moved to Harrah’s in New Orleans and will run from May 21-23, right before the summer series kicks off in Las Vegas.
The National Championship is a $1 million prize pool freeroll event for the top 100 players on the WSOP Circuit. There will be an additional 100 players who can buy-in for $10,000, based on their performances in bracelet events from 2011 and 2012.
There will be a total of 20 different stops on the WSOP Circuit this season, including four new stops. New venues include River Rock Casino in Vancouver, Horseshoe Cleveland in Ohio, Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut and Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina.
