Asia Pacific Poker Tour Melbourne Begins Monday

APPT Heads To Melbourne For Second Time

Leo BoxellSeason 6 of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) gets going again as it pulls into the Crown Casino in Melbourne tomorrow for a festival of poker running from Aug. 20 to Sept. 3.

The highlight of the second stop of the season is the AUD$4,700 + $300 buy-in main event. Players will sit down to a starting stack of 30,000 with blinds of 60 minutes on day 1 and 75 minutes thereafter. Action kicks off at 50-100.

Last year was the first time the APPT was held in Crown Casino and it attracted players from 18 different countries. Leo Boxell topped a field of 260 and received AUD$330,000 for first place from a total prize pool of AUD$1,222,000.
