While the Poker Stars World Championship of Online Poker no-limit hold'em with rebuys event again surpassed the site's guarantee, this time it was only barely. The $184,200 on top of the $1 million guaranteed prize pool was relatively small, at least compared to previous prize pools this year, which were usually a minimum of 50 percent over their guarantees. Regardless, 2,081 entrants ponied up the $215 entry fee and put in 2,503 rebuys and 1,337 add-ons to push first prize to a very respectable $221,445.40.

Quite a few prominent online poker names also broke through the bubble to cash in the event, including PearlJammer and FellKnight. Bryan ""micon" Micon and BodogAri were among the top notables, landing 64th- and 72nd-place cashes for $2,131.56 each.

The final table took just over an hour-and-a-half to determine a winner and the first elimination of the final table took just two hands. Agissilaos pushed all in as one of the short stacks and was called by aStupidDream. It was a race as agissilaos showed pocket tens and aStupidDream flipped up big slick. Rather than hitting an ace or king to eliminate agissilaos, aStupidDream ended up making a wheel to take his opponent out in ninth ($14,210.40).

It was just five minutes later that GammonMorten, fourth in chips at the time, was eliminated. On a flop of Aclub 6spade 5club, GammonMorten called all in after he had check-raised and was reraised by thanksB. GammonMorten turned over 8club 7club for an open-ended straight draw and a flush draw. ThanksB showed Aspade 6heart for top two pair. It was a coin-flip at this point, with thanksB having a slight 3 percent edge to win the hand. The turn put the Kclub on the board, completing GammonMorten's flush, but the river gave thanksB the Aheart to fill up his boat and eliminate GammonMorten from the tournament in eighth ($23,447.16).

It was almost another 40 minutes before the next two eliminations, which happened in quick succession. Jukeboxlo was all in preflop against bad_beat_bud and showed Kspade Qclub. Bad_beat_bud flipped up 9diamond 9heart as the flop came Qdiamond 10diamond 8club, to give jukeboxlo an early lead with a pair of queens. The turn put the 6spade on the board, giving bad_beat_bud a double-gutshot straight draw. The river was the Jdiamond, completing bad_beat_bud's straight and sending jukeboxlo to the rail in seventh with $29,605.

Two minutes later, aStupidDream sent Faar1 home when his 10club 8club completed a flush. Faar got $40,854.90 for sixth.

In the next elimination, Oli G pushed all in preflop and was called by austinlewis. Austinlewis showed the lead with Adiamond 4club against Oli G's 9spade 8diamond. The board ends up with four diamonds to give both a flush, but austinlewis had the nut flush. Oli G got a $52,696.90 payday for his fifth-place finish.

ThanksB was the next to bust in a clash of the big stacks. After being aggressive throughout the hand, thanksB finally pushed all in on a board showing Jheart 7club 3diamond 2heart. Austinlewis called and showed 8heart 8diamond for a pair of eights, while thanksB flipped up KclubJclub for top pair and the lead. The river hit austinlewis's two-outer when it came 8club and thanksB was ousted in fourth ($63,354.70).

The final three players managed to swap chips liberally, going from austinlewis having a commanding chip lead with $11 million to each of the three having almost exactly $5 million. Finally, austinlewis regained his lead, with a stack of almost $12 million, in time to eliminate his next opponent.

Bad_beat_bud pushed all in preflop and was called by austinlewis. It proved to be bad timing for bad_beat_bud as austinlewis showed him his pocket kings. Bad_beat_bud flipped up Aclub 5heart and would need some help to survive. Unfortunately for him, the board did not connect with his hand and he was given $75,157.20 to leave the table in third.

After that elimination, aStupidDream and austinlewis paused the tournament to make a deal. They decided that a by-the-chips chop would be appropriate, with Poker Stars holding the mandatory $20,000 and the 14k gold WCOOP bracelet on the table for the ultimate winner. The chop meant that austinlewis would stand to take home a guaranteed $179,509 for his 2-to-1 lead, while aStupidDream would get $156,936.

Less than a half-hour later, the final hand took place. After some raising and reraising on a flop of Kclub Jclub 8diamond, aStupidDream finally called all in and showed Kspade Jspade for top two pair. Austinlewis showed that he was behind when he flipped up Kheart 10diamond. The turn put the 7diamond on the board, giving austinlewis a few more outs with a nine to make a straight. The 9club hit on the river to complete his straight and eliminate aStupidDream from the tournament in second.

Austinlewis, of Waco, Texas, took the extra $20,000 and the bracelet, for a total win of $199,509 in event No. 6 of the WCOOP.

The final standings were as follows:
