For being a short-handed event, there was nothing short about the path to the Poker Stars World Championship of Online Poker event No. 13 final table. Of the 1,741 entrants in the six-handed pot-limit hold'em event, it would take the longest amount of time to eliminate the seventh-to-last player. It took almost an hour to shake off the seventh-place finisher and burst the bubble to reach the final table.

The blinds were accommodatingly low when the field thinned to the final seven and short stacks could afford to be choosy with their hands. Finally, after 55 minutes of play, MazeOrBowie busted out when his big slick turned pair of kings ran into dnKid's set of jacks.

At last the marathon was over and the final six were ready to vie for a significant portion of the total $522,300 prize pool. DnKid entered the table as the chip leader with $1,489,431 and spaceMe trailed in second with $1,082,179. The other players were relatively evenly stacked, with Goodfella_84 bringing up the rear holding $306,571. DnKid and spaceMe kept their leads for the next 35 minutes and still no one had busted. The players finally agreed to pause the tournament and discuss a deal. It was eventually agreed that a by-the-chips chop was fair, with $10,000 and the 14 karat gold WCOOP bracelet left to race for, and play continued.

Five minutes later, Tulkaz, who'd had the second-fewest chips when the deal was struck, was the first to be eliminated. Tulkaz pushed all in preflop and was called by Lenny. Lenny showed 5club 5diamond while Tulkaz turned over Kclub 9spade for a virtual coin-flip. The board came out 8spade 3diamond 3club 2heart 3spade, giving Lenny a full house to eliminate Tulkaz in sixth. Tulkaz would take $27,581 because of the deal, instead of $9,140.25.

Action was getting a bit faster now that a deal had been struck, as it was only 10 more minutes before yet another player was eliminated. Goodfella_84 called all in after Lenny's preflop raise. Goodfella_84 held Kspade Qheart and Lenny showed the lead with Aheart 9diamond. Lenny all but sealed the deal when he paired both his holecards on the flop. Goodfella_84 didn't connect with the turn or river and was sent packing in fifth, taking home $26,780.

The next player to be eliminated was one who just "wouldn't die," according to spaceMe. DeathsHead26 finally did bite the bullet when spaceMe paired his pocket bullet against DeathsHead26's pocket jacks. DeathsHead26 received a $34,259 payday for his portion of the deal.

It was down to the final three and Lenny, on his fifth WCOOP final table, was trailing dnKid's second-place chip stack by half. That descrepancy would all change in the one big hand. DnKid Raised preflop and was called by spaceMe. The flop put 7diamond 3diamond 2heart on the board and spaceMe checked. DnKid shot out a bet of two-thirds the pot and spaceMe check-raised to three times the original bet. DnKid just called this raise to see a turn giving the 10heart. SpaceMe led out with a two-thirds pot bet and dnKid pushed all in over the top, being covered by spaceMe. SpaceMe pondered the hand for a while before folding, giving a huge pot to dnKid and forfeiting his lead.

Lenny was still in third, but he was much closer to the second-place stack. This was for naught, however, when he called all in on a flop of 10spade 10diamond 4diamond against spaceMe. SpaceMe showed Lenny pocket fours for a flopped full house and Lenny was trailing with his Aclub Qheart. Lenny didn't hit the runners he needed to survive and busted from the tournament in third ($40,156).

When heads-up play began, Germany's spaceMe held $1.9 million in chips and American dnKid had $2.6 million. It was not a huge gap, but it would be enough for dnKid to take him out just 8 minutes later. After whittling spaceMe's stack down over the course of a few hands, dnKid finally called when spaceMe was able to push all in preflop. SpaceMe flipped up Aclub 9diamond and saw that he was in serious trouble when dnKid showed Aspade Qheart for a dominating hand. The board paired neither player and spaceMe ended up being outkicked to miss out on the extra $10,000. SpaceMe earned $47,113 for his finish. DnKid took the extra $10,000 and the bracelet, putting his total prize at $87,560.

The final standings, based on a six-way chop for all final table participants, were:

dnKid - $87,560
spaceMe - $47,113
Lenny - $40,156
DeathsHead26 - $34,259
Goodfella_84 - $26,780
Tulkaz - $27,581
