Pro Poker Championship Announces Schedule And Venue

Series To Be Held At Dover Downs Hotel & Casino

Pro Poker Championship, Inc. is pleased to announce that it is partnering with Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Delaware to host the inaugural televised poker series Pro Poker Championship™. The series will feature several events from Friday, October 26, 2012 – Monday, November 19, 2012 including five nationally televised events.

The Pro Poker Championship (PPC) is the latest show from the creators of the poker show High Stakes Hold’em which currently airs nationwide on Comcast SportsNet and other regional sports networks. The first PPC series will be promoted as PPC1. The plan is to have a new PPC series every six months. PPC2 is tentatively planned for May 2013.

The 25-day series will include a $100,000 Buy-In TV Heads-Up Cash Match between two top pros, a $50,000 Buy-In TV 6-Handed Cash Game of invited top pros and amateurs, a $10,000 Buy-In TV NLHE Tournament, and two $3,500 Buy-In TV NLHE Tournaments including many other lower buy-in tournaments. The dates for the TV events are as follows:

• PPC1 $3,500 NLHE Tournament, Day 1A on 11/2, Day 1B on 11/3, Day 2 on 11/4, Final Table on 11/5
• PPC1 $3,500 NLHE Tournament, Day 1A on 11/9, Day 1B on 11/10, Day 2 on 11/11, Final Table on 11/12
• PPC1, $100,000 Heads-Up Cash Match (Invitation-only), 11/14
• PPC1 $50,000 6-Handed Cash Game (Invitation-only), 11/15
• PPC1 $10,000 NLHE Tournament, Day 1A on 11/16, Day 1B on 11/17, Day 2 on 11/18, Final Table on 11/19

“Our objective is to make the PPC the East Coast version of the WSOP with some unique characteristics, in particular, as it relates to the televised cash game action,” stated Eric Ulis, President of Pro Poker Championship, Inc. He further mentioned, “Players will find that the televised tournaments will not only be exciting, but that they’re well-structured and will provide players a terrific opportunity to play their game and win huge money.”

Pro Poker Championship, Inc. is the sister company to Red Deck Productions, LLC which creates and airs High Stakes Hold’em, a show that has featured high stakes cash game players including Daniel Cates, Brian Rast, Kenny Tran, Joe Cada, Tom Marchese, Brandon Steven and others.

The names of the top pros and amateurs who will be taking part in the $50,000 6-Handed Cash Game and the $100,000 HU Cash Match will be released at a later date.
