In this Card Player weekly feature we look to provide our readers with a guide to some of the biggest poker events taking place in their area for the upcoming week. NEVADA

Wynn Las Vegas

  • The 2012 Wynn Fall Classic (Oct 11, ‘12 – Oct 31, ’12) The Wynn Las Vegas’s 12-event Wynn Fall Classic continues this week with a number of great tournaments, including a three-day $550 buy-in no-limit hold’em event that kicks off with the first of two starting days on Oct. 19th.
  • The 2012 Festa al Lago Classic (Oct 12, ‘12 – Oct 27, ’12) The Bellagio Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada continues its 15-event Festa al Lago Classic series this week, with plenty of great tournaments to choose from including a $2,620 no-limit hold’em event that begins on Oct. 16th and a $5,180 no-limit hold’em event that gets underway on Oct. 20th.
  • The 6th Annual Caesars Palace Poker Classic (Oct 12, ‘12 – Oct 28, ’12) The 33-event Caesars Palace Poker Classic continues this week with a multitude of tournament options, including a $560 no-limit hold’em event that takes place on Oct. 20th.

CALIFORNIA

  • The 2012 Sport of Kings Poker Series (Oct 11, ‘12 – Oct 21, ’12) The Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood, California continues its 14-event tournament series this week, with the highlight being a $100 buy-in, four-day, $150,000 guaranteed prizepool no-limit hold’em event that begins on Oct. 18th.
  • The 2012 Liz Flynt Fall Poker Classic The Hustler Casino in Gardena, California kicked off it’s seven-event Liz Flynt Fall Poker Classic tournament series on Oct. 14th with a five-day, $120 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed event. This Friday, Oct. 19th, a $150,000 guaranteed event with a $130 buy-in and $80 add-on will also get underway.

AFRICA

Emperors Palace

  • The 2012 WPT Emperors Palace Poker Classic (Oct 19, ‘12 – Oct 26, ’12) The World Poker Tour makes its way to South Africa for the first time in the tours history this week for the WPT Emperors Palace Poker Classic in Johannesburg, with the eight-event series highlighted by a number of big events including the $10,500 no-limit hold’em high roller that begins on Oct. 21st and the $3,600 no-limit hold’em main that that begins on Oct. 22nd and continues until a champion is decided on the 26th.

NORTHEAST

  • The 2012 World Poker Finals The Foxwoods ResortCasino in Ledyard, Connecticut gets its huge 25-event World Poker Finals series underway this week, with early highlights including a $600 deepstack no-limit hold’em event that begins on Oct. 15th and another that starts on Oct. 20th.

FLORIDA

  • The 2012 Isle Open (Oct 15, ‘12 – Oct 29, ’12) Pompano Beach, Florida’s Isle Casino gets the nine-event Isle Open underway this week, with a number of great events including a single-rebuy $550 no-limit hold’em event on Oct. 17th and a $100,000 guaranteed no-limit hold’em event with a $330 buy-in that kicks off with the first of three starting days on Oct. 18th.

MIDWEST

  • The 2012 Fall Poker Classic (Oct 1, 12 – Oct 21, 12) The Canterbury Park Racetrack & Card Club in Shakopee, Minnesota moves into the final week of its Fall Poker Classic, and that means that some of the series’ biggest events are upon us, including the $1,100 buy-in no-limit hold’em championship event, which kicks off on Oct. 20th and crowns a winner the following day.
