The Boylepoker.com International Poker Open (IPO) kicks off tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 19 and runs for three days (including two starting days) where it will then pause before playing out its final table on Nov. 10.
For those who can’t make it, and indeed for those who just want to stay on top of all the action, there are plenty of ways to keep an eye on things including a live stream for the entire €230 buy-in event.
The stream will cover the feature table on both starting days and on day 2, plus the final table which is scheduled for Nov. 10.
The event’s live updates will be powered by poker tournament information system Evcount, which will collect and combine all chip counts, record bustouts, Tweets, blinds, big hands, new players, and news while also feeding streaming commentary.
Aside from this, players and fans can stay up to date via social media and the Boylepoker blog while also taking a punt on their favourite players in Boylesport’s IPO betting market.
The online poker site is in the midst of giving away 90 seats for the popular event, which will play out in Dublin’s Regency Hotel this weekend. The final two €20 + €2 buy-in Mega Satellites take place online tonight and tomorrow evening at 8 p.m. and will give away 20 seats each.
Ciaran Corbett, poker room manager at Boylepoker, said, “We’re expecting another really competitive year for the IPO and to match that intensity we’ve ratcheted up our media coverage and friends, family, fans, players, and punters can get the most up-to-the-minute news and information at the Boylepoker Blog – so drop in to the Regency or drop by the blog and get involved!”
Last year Dutchman Luke Martens took home the top prize of €51,350 for beating a 1,388-strong field.
