Most Atlantic City Casinos Up And Running
Days after Hurricane Sandy ripped through the Atlantic City boardwalk, Gov. Chris Christie has given the city’s 12 casinos the permission to reopen to the public. Most reopened on Friday and rest will follow suit over the weekend.
MGM Describes Vision For Casino On Potomac River
MGM Resorts International CEO Jim Murren said Friday that his company would build a luxurious and architecturally unimposing casino on the Potomac river should voters approve gambling expansion in the state of Maryland. The $800 million property would include 16-20 stories of hotel rooms.
Cincinnati Casino Hires More In Anticipation Of Opening
The Horseshoe Casino in Cincinnati announced on Friday that it was now taking applications to fill an additional 400 jobs in anticipation of the spring of 2013 opening. The property will have a total of 1,700 employees.
Caesars Sells St. Louis Casino To Penn National
Caesars Entertainment has announced the $610 million sale of its Harrah’s St. Louis casino to Penn National Gaming. The new owner is expected to rename the property as the Hollywood Casino St. Louis.
Aliante Casino Closes Poker Room
The Aliante Casino and Hotel in North Las Vegas has closed its poker room. Aliante Gaming has yet to announce what will replace the previously occupied space. The 200-hotel room property has 2,000 slot machines and 40 tables games.
