Xing Zhou of China is the new PokerStars Asian Championship of Poker champion after topping a 184-strong field in Macau.
Zhou held an 8-1 chip lead over Ying Kit Chan of Hong Kong but Chan fought his way back to being just 2-1 down in chips before surging into the lead in the HKD$100,000 (USD$10,143) main event.
After more than six hours heads up the pair decided to chop the prize pool after Zhou had retaken the lead and they played the final hand blind with Zhou’s 10-6 making a straight on the river to beat Chan’s pair of fives on the turn.
