Finns Lose Title For First Time In Estonia

Sweden celebratesSweden has won Pokerfinnkampen for the first time. The annual battle for bragging rights with arch rivals Finland took place last weekend at the Reval Casino in Tallin, Estonia.

The €350 no-limit hold’em main event had three categories with points awarded for individual ranking, terminator achieved and country total.

The final table was evenly split and finely balanced with four Swedes and four Finns and the final table payouts were:

1: Martin Johansson — €5,200
2: Mikhail Gorokh — €4,000
3: Paavo Korkka — €2,400 + €670 Terminator: Pokerfinnkampen champion 2012
4: Ira Rananen — €2,300
5: Tomi Autio — €2,500
6: Christel Natri — €2,000
7: Martin Oscarius — €760
8: Måns Ullerstam — €540
9: Fredrik Zitting — €349

Note that Frederik Ziiting lost €1 after 3 days of poker!

Last year Stefan Ericsson was the overall Pokerfinnkampen champion.
