James “Flushy” Dempsey has joined Iveypoker.com, the online poker training website currently being built by Phil Ivey.

He joins Patrik Antonius, recent World Series of Poker main event bracelet winner Greg Merson, Jennifer Harman, and Cole South.

A short biography at the site describes Dempsey as, “…a 30 year old English professional poker player who splits his time between Brighton and London. He has being playing poker professionally for over 10 years having found the game before the Moneymaker boom.

“Originally a full time online player, for the past 2 years he has switched his attention to live poker, having found particular success in tournaments and cash games in Las Vegas. Over that time James has amassed just shy of $2m in live cashes, with a WSOP Bracelet and a WPT Championship to show for his efforts.

“Regularly found playing at any poker tour stop within 20 miles of a golf course. Proficient in holdem and both Omaha and Omaha hi lo.”

Elsewhere an announcement at Iveypoker.com says the company is “in the final stages of developing an innovative social poker game.”
