The National Football League is notoriously anti-gambling, and it just reinforced that reputation.

The NFL had taped an interview with Bradley Cooper, star of Silver Linings Playbook, before commissioner Roger Goodell’s office told the league’s TV network to pitch the content after becoming concerned with the gambling present in the film, the New York Post reported.

The movie hit theaters on Wednesday.

Robert De Niro, Cooper’s co-star, plays a part-time bookie.

“We are deeply disappointed in the NFL’s decision, and we are quite frankly surprised,” Harvey Weinstein, the film’s producer, told the New York Post. “Pulling a pre-taped interview with our stars is nothing short of censorship.”

He added that the film isn’t about NFL gambling.

Weinstein was the producer behind the cult classic poker movie Rounders.
