Hasmukh Khodiyara Wins Genting Poker Series Sheffield

Twenty-Seven Year Old Tops Big Field For £50,000 Payday

The fifth stop of the Genting Poker Series attracted 562 to Sheffield, England over the weekend and it was 27-year old Hasmukh Khodiyara who emerged victorious in the £400 + £30 buy in main event.

Khoduyara won £50,000 and a £1,600 seat to the GPS grand final at the Fox Poker Club from Dec. 1 to 9.

Kevin Proctor, Head of live poker operations at Genting was delighted with the event; “The tournament was a sellout, the atmosphere was electric and the poker was of the highest quality. It is nice to see yet another qualifier take down a big pot and it demonstrates once more that the format of the Series is perfect for poker players of all ability.

“To smash through a £1 million in prize money before we even reach the final speaks volume for its popularity with the players.”
