Atlantic City Casino Spends $60 Million On Margaritaville Theme

The Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City has put aside $60 million to convert the property into a Margaritaville-themed entertainment complex. A total of $35 million will revamp the casino with the Jimmy Buffet brand and an additional $25 million will be allotted for hotel room renovations.


Two Casino Firms Meet Deadlines For Western Massachusetts Gaming License

Both MGM Resorts International and Penn National Gaming have met key deadlines set by state officials as they continue their battle for the lone Western Massachusetts gaming license. Each company has paid a $400,000 application fee.


Caesars Casino Executive To Step Down

Caesars Entertainment casino executive Don Marrandino has decided to step down after more than three years as president of the company’s eastern division. Marrandino mainly oversaw struggling Atlantic City properties such as the Caesars, Bally’s, Harrah’s and the Showboat.


Terrible’s Hotel And Casino Gets $7 Million Facelift

Las Vegas-based Terrible’s Hotel and Casino, which caters largely to locals, is in the process of completing a $7 million renovation project. The 60,000-square foot casino has been upgraded with new carpeting, a center bar, almost 1,000 new slot machines and a new sports book.


Churchill Downs Advocates Owning Louisville Casino

A Churchill Downs official has stated that if gambling expansion is approved in Kentucky, the company will seek to own and operate a casino in Louisville, as opposed to one located at the racetrack.
