After defeating the Oklahoma Sooners in the Cotton Bowl by a score of 41 to 13, Texas A&M Aggies quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel decided to celebrate by flashing some cash at the WinStar World Casino Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
The 20-year-old football phenom known simply as “Johnny Football” tweeted a photo of himself and friends fanning out a stack of bills with the caption, “Casino ballin!”
The tweet sparked some controversy from those in the twitterverse who weren’t aware that Oklahoma’s Native American casinos cater to anyone 18 years or older. In response to the backlash, Manziel deleted the photo (captured on right) and responded with the facts.
Nothing illegal about being 18+ in a casino and winning money…KEEP HATING!

Manziel, who reportedly won some money while playing roulette, was welcomed with open arms by the casino, who quickly realized they had college football royalty playing in their pit.
Heyyyyyyy!! Have fun and good luck! “@jmanziel2: Winstar wassssuppp!”

Manziel became the first freshman in NCAA history to win the Heisman Trophy last month. The Tyler, Texas native led the Aggies to an 11-2 record.
