The Isle of Capri Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi has begun their $100 million transformation into the Golden Nugget Casino.
The dilapidated casino, purchased by Landry’s in late November, has begun renovations to its 720 guest rooms and suites. Additionally, the Faraday’s restaurant will become a Morton’s Steakhouse and a Party Pit, Rush Lounge, Lillie’s Asian Cuisine and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. will be added to the property.
The Golden Nugget will also feature a new casino floor, spa, comedy club and pool complete with year-round hot tubs and fire pits.
“The Golden Nugget transformation will rejuvenate Biloxi, much as we have helped rejuvenate downtown Las Vegas and most recently the Marina District in Atlantic City,” said Landry’s Chairman Tilman Fertitta.
The Isle of Capri Casino first opened in 1992.
