Baptiste Chavillaz Wins World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event At The Bicycle Casino

Music Industry Worker Scores $216,275 For Topping 721-Entrant Field

Baptiste ChavillazBaptiste Chavillaz outlasted a record 721-entrant field to win the 2013 World Series of Poker Circuit $1,675 no-limit hold’em main event, earning $216,275 for the win. The 30-year-old music industry professional was also awarded 912 Card Player Player of the Year points, climbing to eighth place in the overall POY standings.

“It’s all still sinking in,” said Chavillaz after play ended. “I’ve been playing poker for 12 years, but I’ve never had anything like this happen before. I had not even played in a major tournament like this, ever.”

A few big names made deep runs in this event but fell just short of the final table, namely Name Le (13th – $13,355), Doug Lee (12th – $16,415) and Joe Tehan (10th – $16,415).
