Frenchman Wins First Major Event Of Euro Finals Of Poker Festival

Courtesy of World Poker TourLaurent Polito has won the World Poker Tour National Paris main event at the Aviation Club de Paris in the French capital.

Polito, who started the final table third in chips, topped a field of 229 entrants to the €1,500 buy in re-entry tournament which saw World Series of Poker main event finalist Antoine Saout finish fourth.

The final table payouts were:
1: Laurent Polito — €82,000 + €7,500 Grand Prix de Paris buy in
2: Stéphane Benadiba — €52,000
3: Omar Lakhdari — €33,400
4: Antoine Saout — €24,750
5: Paul Fayngersh — €18,600
6: Yossi Iffergan — €14,850
7: Florent Estegassy — € 12,340
8: Damien Lhommeau — € 9,900

The WPT National Paris is part of the Euro Finals of Poker festival running until January 28 in Paris, France. The marquee event is the €5,000 buy in Diamond Championship taking place from January 24 to 27.
