Microsoft Studios announced Wednesday that it’s set to release a new game called “World Series of Poker: Full House Pro.”, through a deal with Caesars Interactive Entertainment.
The game will be available this spring on Xbox 360 and Windows 8.
The product will not take real-money deposits like traditional poker software. According to a press release, the game will award more play chips each day, assuming you bust your account. However, purchasing an Xbox LIVE Membership is required for web multi-player action.
In addition to multi-player, there will be a single-player mode.
Free-play digital versions of the WSOP already exist. On Facebook, the brand’s application boasts more than 400,000 active monthly users. Caesars has done work with Electronic Arts, putting the app on mobile devices like the iPhone and iPad.
Caesars Interactive is also looking to one day operate an online poker site, which will take real-money deposits, out of Nevada, pending approval of its technology partner in that venture.
The brand has also been expanding recently in its brick-and-mortar reach. In addition to WSOP festivals in Las Vegas and Europe, the firm will soon host bracelet events in Australia.
