Ohio Casino Control Commission Issues First Ever FineHorseshoe Cleveland To Pay $15,000 For Using Unapproved Software |

It’s been nearly eight months since the first Ohio casino opened its doors, but it wasn’t until Tuesday that the Ohio Casino Control Commission was able to issue its first ever fine against a casino.
In September, Horseshoe Casino Cleveland realized that they were using an unsanctioned version of software designed to provide patrons with promotional slot play. The casino self-reported the violation and the Casino Control Commission has determined that a $15,000 fine is in order.
The fine will go into a general fund for the Commission, which will oversee all four of Ohio’s licensed casino properties.
Three casinos, in Cleveland, Toledo and Columbus, have already opened. The fourth, in Cincinnati, will open early next March.
