The World’s largest online poker site, PokerStars, has entered into a sponsorship deal with seven-times French soccer champions Olympic Lyonnaise.
The deal will see giant 3D PokerStars logos digitally projected in the 40,000 Stade De Garland. PokerStars logo will appear on Lyon’s official website and videos will be broadcast inside the stadium during games.
Additionally PokerStars.fr will host a nightly tournament at 9 p.m. with prizes to included VIP seats for games and autographed memorabilia.
Vincent-Baptiste Closon, marketing director for the club told Sport Buzz Business, “Digital is a major focus of development for the club.
“PokerStars is a major player in the digital arena so it is natural for us to associate with this site.”
Olympic Lyonnaise previously had a commercial arrangement with French online betting company Betclic.
