Brent Hanks Wins Card Player Poker Tour Wynn Las Vegas Event No. 3

Las Vegas Pro Earns $10,500 At His Second Final Table Of The CPPT Wynn Series

Brent HanksEvent 3 – $300 No-Limit Hold’em

From a field of 200 entrants, Brent Hanks has emerged victorious in the Card Player Poker Tour Wynn Las Vegas event no. 3, a $300 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament. For winning his 15th career title Hanks was awarded the $10,500 first-place prize, bringing his lifetime combined live and online tournament earnings to just shy of $2.7 million.

Hanks won his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet last summer, topping a field of 2,101. He also navigated the 793 player field in event no. 1 of the CPPT Wynn to make the final table, finishing seventh for $10,384. In this event he topped a tough final table that featured the likes of Kenna James (3rd – $8,000) and Young Phan (8th – $1,440).

Brett ShafferEvent 4 – $300 No-Limit Hold’em

Event no. 4 at the CPPT Wynn Las Vegas drew a total of 168 entrants, each putting up the $300 buy-in for the no-limit hold’em tournament. Now only 11 players remain to battle it out for the title and first place prize of $11,000. All remaining players are in the money and guaranteed at least $880.

The chip leader heading into the final day is Brett Shaffer with 466,000. Shaffer finished 17th in the massive kickoff event for this series just days ago, taking home $3,192. Christina Lindley sits in fifth position with 179,000 in chips. Lindley will also be looking to improve on her 37th-place finish in event no. 1.
