BetVictor Bad Beat Jackpot Hits Three Times In Four Days€750,000 Paid Out But Players Miss Out On €426,000 Because They Didn't Opt In |

The new BetVictor Poker Bad Beat Jackpot, relaunched on March 19, has had a torrid time in the first few days of its existence having been won three times in just four days and doling out hundreds of thousands of euro and some incredible bad beat stories itself.
Firstly on Tuesday March 19 the Jackpot was triggered at €924,727.51 by a nine-high straight flush which was beaten by a jack-high straight flush at a €0.25/€0.50 cent table.
The winner of the bad beat (that is, the loser of the hand) was paid €370,788.79.
However this triggered a massive bad beat in itself as the winner of the hand had not opted in to the Jackpot for his two cent stake and missed out on €184,945.50 which immediately went to seed the next Jackpot. He had to be content with just the €81 from the pot itself.
The two other opted in players at the table were paid €47,134.16 and all other opted in players at the same stake (€0.25/0.50c) were paid €897.79 for each table at the same stakes at which they were opted in.
Next up on Thursday March 21 the Jackpot hit at €377,029 when four-of-a-kind two’s were beaten by four-of-a-kind sixes at a €1/€2 table.
A monster bad beat ensued as the winner of the bad beat (four-of-a-kind twos) did not opt in and missed out on €150,811 while the winner of the hand (four-of-a-kind sixes) did opt in and was paid €76,976. One other opted in player at the table was paid €39,273 and all other opted in players at the same stake (€1/€2) were paid €1,571 for each table at the same stake at which they were opted in.
Finally on Friday March 22 the €227,303 Jackpot was triggered when four-of-a-kind eights were beaten by a royal flush at a €1/€2 table.
The winner of the bad beat (four-of-a-kind eights) suffered a double blow as they had not opted in and missed out on €90,921 while the winner of the hand (royal flush) was doubly rewarded as they did opt in and were paid €45,460 on top of the pot they had scooped.
Sadly for everyone else there were no other opted in players at the table and incredibly there were no other opted in players at the same stakes.

Since March 19 players who wish to participate in the Bad Beat Jackpot must use the new ‘opt-in’ option available at all cash tables above €0.10/€0.20c. Once they are opted-in they will contribute 2c to the Jackpot for each hand played.
The new Jackpot, which currently stands at €189,000, has also been made easier to hit with the new qualifying hand reduced to four-of-a-kind twos from four-of-a-kind eights. Now when it does hit it will be shared out amongst all opted-in players at the stakes at which is won so the Jackpot will be won more frequently and reward many more players.
