Courtesy of PokerStarsDinesh Alt has won the AUS$2,200 (€1,800) buy in PokerStars Australia New Zealand Poker Tour Sydney main event taking down the AUS$226,320 (€184,638) top prize for heading the 460-strong field.

The Swiss player beat former ANZPT winner Dejan Divkovic from Bosnia heads up while German pro Dominik Nitsche took third spot at the uncharacteristically Euro-heavy final table.

Alt started the heads up duel with 7.2 million in chips while Divkovic, winner of the last ANZPT in Perth, had 2 million.

Divkovick battled valiantly, doubling up a couple of times before he was crippled with trip sixes against a rivered straight and was left with just one and a half big blinds and was relegated to runner up a short while later by Alt.

The final table payouts (in AUS Dollars) were:

1: Dinesh Alt (Switzerland) — $226,320
 (€184,638)
2: Dejan Divkovic (Bosnia) — $144,440

3: Dominik Nitsche (Germany) — $80,040

4: David Campion (Australia) — $62,560

5: Michael Fadersen (Australia) — $48,300

6: Donald Jones (Australia) — $39,100

7: Gary Benson (Australia) — $29,900
