Yann “keefkeef” Pelletier has won the seventh rendition of PKR Live at Aspers Casino, London topping a record 291-strong field to take down the $27,620 top prize.
It was the second biggest career cash for the 32-year-old PKR.fr regular behind his runner up spot at a France Poker Series main event in 2010 for €69,500.
Pelletier said after his victory, “Winning this event was a truly amazing feeling. Only live poker can make you feel this way. It actually balances out all the frustration accumulated by playing tournaments with no success in the past. Winning PKR Live is definitely one of the best moments I’ve ever had.
“In the context and with the enthusiastic support from other French players on the rail, all the ingredients combined to sear this moment into my memory. I can almost say I’ve learnt poker on PKR. I feel at home on the site, as at PKR Live, and I’ve had the chance to meet some people that I consider true friends.”
