Atlantic City gaming revenues fell 12.1 percent for the first three months of 2013 compared to the same period last year, according to figures released Wednesday by New Jersey.

$656,046,849 was won from gamblers in January, February and March of this year, while $746,163,983 was siphoned off from customers in 2012.

Every casino in Atlantic City except one experienced a fall in gaming revenue for the aforementioned period. Atlantic Club casino, which PokerStars is set to purchase, recorded a year-over-year gain for the three months. Atlantic City is home to 12 casino joints.

Slot machine win has fallen harder than table game win for the area as a whole.

In an effort to create some more business for the casinos, New Jersey business representatives (lawmakers) in Trenton passed an online gambling bill earlier this year. It was signed into law in February, and the slow process has begun to make web betting a reality.

Atlantic City has been slumping since 2006.
