European Poker Tour Berlin Main Event This Weekend

Massive 45-Event Festival Underway In German Capital

Courtesy of PokerStarsThe PokerStars European Poker Tour Berlin festival is underway with the centerpiece main event starting on Sunday, April 21 at Grand Hyatt Berlin.

The €5,000 + €300 buy in main event is just one of 45 events taking place over 10 days across the expanded schedule of the fourth visit to the German capital.

Already 911 players have bought in to the newly established €1,000 + €100 Berlin Cup event which had a guarantee of €500,000. The winner will receive €180,000.

Elsewhere the €3,000 + €200 Berlin Cup High Roller tournament starts tomorrow, Saturday, April 20. There’s a €2,000 + 100 pot-limit Omaha eighthanded game on Sunday, April 21, a €2,000 + €150 no-limit hold’em event on Tuesday, April 23 and the €10,000 + €300 eighthanded high roller event next Thursday, April 25.

Last year Belgian pro Davidi Kitai added to his World Poker Tour title and World Series of Poker bracelet by winning the main event beating 744 opponents to collect $941,488.

Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier won the High Roller event for €231,000.
