Amaya Gaming Group Inc. and Aristocrat Technologies Inc. announced Thursday that they have reached a tentative deal that will see Aristocrat offer the Ongame poker network platform to its U.S. customers — once its legally allowed to do so.
Aristocrat is a business-to-business provider.
“We are delighted to partner with Ongame to offer online poker on the nLive platform,” Atul Bali, President of Aristocrat Americas, said in a statement. “This aligns perfectly with our strategy of bringing our best-of-breed wagering, free play and social platform, while integrating both Aristocrat and leading third-party content as part of the nLive offering.”
“Aristocrat and Amaya share a common vision of integrating land-based gaming with online gaming,” David Baazov, CEO of Amaya Gaming Group Inc., said in a statement. "Integrating our online poker offering into the Aristocrat nLive platform opens up a wide range of new opportunities in the United States.
“This is a strategic relationship in the most promising market in the world,” he added.
Online gambling is only legal in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware. Aristocrat will be involved with a future Nevada intrastate, and eventually interstate, online poker market.
The Silver State has already started its real-money online poker industry. This week, Ultimate Poker became the first Nevada real-money site to open its doors.
