The World Poker Tour returned to Quebec for the second time this season for the PartyPoker WPT Canadian Spring Championship at the Playground Poker Club. From a field of 735 entries, now only six players remain to battle it out for the title and first-place prize of $442,248 and 1,368 Card Player Player of the Year points.
The final table of six will reconvene at 3:00 PM EST (12:00 PM PST), with a live streaming broadcast featuring hole cards and commentary from poker pros Tony Dunst and Darryll Fish airing on a 30-minute delay.
The chip leader heading into the final day is Amir Babakhani with 6,635,000 of the roughly 22 million in play. Babakhani eliminated two of the biggest names who remained in the event when it had gotten down to the unofficial final table of nine, Christian Harder (7th – $66,132) and Bryan Piccioli (8th – $52,609).
