Poker pro Neil Raine has won the €500 buy in Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Stockton main event picking up £17,690 for his victory over the small field of 116 players.

The third stop of season seven of the Tour saw a main event with quality players such as World Series of Poker bracelet winner Laurence Gosney but it was online qualifier Raine who took the title when his KClub Suit 9Club Suit hit both a king and two clubs on the flop and another king on the turn to bust runner up Dave Collins.

Raine said after his win, “It was a tough final because we were so deep but I was really lucky with the table draw, Tom was on my table, but he couldn’t do anything because he couldn’t get past me. It was really enjoyable, a really good structure.

“Three handed was a nightmare it took so long, no one was getting coolered! I had a few hands where my opponent was in front ’til the river and I got there a few times.”

The final table payouts were:

1: Neil Raine — £17,690
2: Dave Collins — £12,470
3: Stephen Sung — £7,830
4: Tom Hall — £4,930
5: Lawrence Gosney — £4,060
6: John Bousfield — £2,900
7: Chris Howden — £2,320
8: Chris Green-Smith — £1,740
9: Dave Maudlin — £1,450
