CALIFORNIA
- The 2013 Card Player Poker Tour – The Bicycle Casino (May 23, ‘13 – Jun 01, ’13) The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California kicked off the next exciting stop on the Card Player Poker Tour last week, with a nine-event series of tournaments. Registration is already closed in the CPPT_ $1,100 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event, which surpassed it’s $300,000 guarantee by more than $50,000 and will feature an online final table broadcast on Wednesday, May 29th that will be featured on Live At The Bike and CardPlayer.com. Upcoming highlights for the rest of the series include a $30,000 guaranteed $235 no-limit hold’em deepstack that starts on May 28th.
NEVADA
- The 44th Annual World Series of Poker (May 29, ‘13 – Jul 15, ’13) The 44th annual World Series of Poker gets underway this week, with the first of 62 events starting on May 29th. The kickoff event is the traditional $500 casino employees event, but also starting that day is a $5,000 no-limit hold’em eight-max event. The likely highlight of the first week is the $1,500 no-limit hold’em “Millionaire Maker”, which features a huge $1,000,000 guaranteed first-place prize. The first of two starting flights begins at 11:00 AM, with the second at 5:00 PM.
- The 2013 Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza III (May 23, ‘13 – Jul 21, ’13) The Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV is moving into the scecond week of its expansive summer_Deep Stack Extravaganza_ tournament series this week in the Sands Poker Room. This time around there will be an incredible 218 events taking place between May 23rd and July 21st. This week’s highlights include a $1,100 six-max no-limit hold’em event on May 29th. The $5,000 main event starts on July 13th, and will feature live coverage and an online table broadcast by CardPlayer.com as part of the Card Player Poker Tour.
- The 2013 Caesars Palace Summer Mega Stack Poker Series (May 24, ‘13 – Jul 14, ’13) Caesars Palace Las Vegas in Las Vegas, NV continues into the second week of its 103-event tournament series this week, with affordable buy-ins throughout the summer. The week’s highlights include a $350 buy-in no-limit hold’em event starting on May 31st.
- The 2013 Binion’s Poker Classic (May 25, ‘13 – Jul 07, ’13) The birthplace and former home of the WSOP, Binion’s Hotel and Casino, will host its own tournament series this summer with a total of 47 events to choose from. Some notable events this week are a $200 limit omaha / stud eight-or-better event that begins on May 30th and a $200 no-limit six-max event that begins on June 1st.
- The 2013 Grand Poker Series (Jun 01, ‘13 – Jul 07, ’13) A total of 80 events are scheduled for the Golden Nugget’s annual summer tournament series, which kicks off this week on June 1st. The early highlight is a $230 pot-limit Omaha event that begins on June 2nd.
