Poker pro Gus Hansen was in Macau playing a high buy-in tournament, but when he was ready to leave and head to the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas he realized he had lost his passport and was unable to fly, according to Danish site pokernyhederne.com.

Hansen has been busy playing online poker cash games in the meantime. He’s still stuck in a massive rut, as he’s down a little more than $3.3 million on the year, according to tracking data from HighstakesDB.com.

Despite some recent upticks, Hansen dropped about $860,000 over the past week.

Away from the online game, Hansen has created a hugely impressive live resume. He has won nearly $10 million from tournaments during his lifetime, including $1 million last year at the World Series of Poker. He usually doesn’t play many events at the Series.

Hansen won his first and only WSOP bracelet in 2010.

Hansen’s live tournament winnings barely cover his career online losses of $9.7 million.
